No, he definitely knew about the fathering, too.  I
mean, _I_ knew about the fathering - I've known for
several years - long enough back that I don't remember
when I learned about it.  I'm not exactly an insider,
so I'm sure Lott knew.  Quite a few Republicans
(myself included, but least important among them) were
trying to get rid of Lott for years, because they knew
that he was a racist and that he would eventually
screw up and make it unmistakeable in public.
