It is not a game. If Nader's share had been folded
into Gore's (as would happen in a reasonable
preferential ballot) Bush would have lost by an
official "landslide".

As for the millions who did vote for Bush, there are
several major constituencies, each very different.

1. Millennialist Christians, who see him as "their"
first president... and they are right.

2. The Confederacy's revenge.

3. The plutocrat/kelptocrat half of the aristocracy.
The half that knows no satiability and care only about
their short term personal wealth.

4. SIncere libertarian americans who cannot believe
that the GOP would KEEP lying about wanting smaller
government. (Of 7 major industries DE-regulated in
our lifetimes, 6 were deregulated by ... wait for
it... democrats.)

5. People who are disgusted by "liberals."

The latter category is deeply disturbing. The "L
word" will be hurled at the dems for months. The
blame for "liberal" - which stands for every great
achievement of the last 50 years... becoming a curse
word, is entirely the responsibility of... wait for
it... liberals.

Good question.

On the one hand you have a pack of utter morons - led
by two cowardly draft dodgers - who have destroyed the
Western Alliance, dissipated our troops, reduced our
readiness to pre-pearl harbor levels and mortgaged our
children in order to hand a trillion dollars to 20,000
golf buddies.

On the other hand, you have a war hero who - when we
see his first test of judgment - appoints as Veep John
Edwards.

Oh... heaven help us....
