Maybe I should let the women answer this (and maybe they will, anyway), but
here's what I've heard:

The GB Women are going to participate in the women's division at European
Champions League in Copenhagen, the weekend after the Edinburgh Tour event.
The time and financial commitments required to doing both on sequential
weekends mean that it's not possible for the team to do both of these
events.

And here's my personal opinion:
GB Women playing against other top European Women's teams is better
preparation for their participation in the Women's division at EUC than
playing against the (mostly male, mostly student) Open Tour teams that
they'd encounter in the UK.

I agree, it's unfortunate that they can't do both, but they've made the
sensible choice, don't you think?
