Aussie, Britdisc is totally the right place to air and ask these questions!! Where else the forums on the UKUA site or Facebook where not all read the updates. As still some don't use Facebook still, or not signed up to the pages or regularly access them.
Britdisc has always been a good place to air grievances and Si will respond in good time I'm sure!! And your right I'm always thought out with my responses, well sometimes at least ;-) Your Infact wrong we are not going to a rolling 12 month membership actually the opposite. It's now going to be a situation where the membership has a cut off date of the End of November, whenever you purchase one be that just for tour in may or mixed in march etc. I can see why its being changed and the date being end of november, as cutting down on admin etc being a valid one for the season and obviously due to the end of outdoor and the start of Indoor. I can see the idea for this but unfortunately don't agree so entitled too my opinion!! I must admit to not really reading the reasons for it till today, and therefore am totally late in bringing this up, but still thought I would as the Ultimatum issue is part of the Full Membership which I paid for in 2012, and I also didn't know I could have pro rata paid for my membership being for only 6 months and got it for half this last year but hey ho. Should all those that paid for their membership in 2012 get a copy of Ultimatum, well yes as that was the agreement from the sign up page of the UKUA website when paying as was insurance etc. For the UKUA to now change this is wrong. Or to not send out the 2012 issue to someone who had paid to be a member of their organisation in 2012. As presume the cost of the issue was included in the cost of membership. Have they delayed sending it out till after the payment window to get people to sign up, then I would say yes!! sounds to me like its printed so why not send it out before 30th November whilst all 2012's memberships ate still current?? And not penalise anyone who doesn't sign up now and comes into the sport or rejoins after this date next year. Wayne just made a point about subscriptions, if you sign up to any subscription you get the next available edition, which in mine and others cases was and is the 2012 Ultimatum!!
