Depends a little how dirty they are. If I ieven suspect that there has been a beer with infection in it, I consider them extremely dirty. For the worst ones, I soak them in hot bleach (klorin) solution for some hours, brush everything carefully, rinse, neutralize that with a bit of acid solution, rinse again, rinse, soak 10 minutes in Iodophor, and rinse the worst foam off. I take all the connectors apart, and some times even the small O-rings from them (but they don't always survive that). All the small bits I soak in the same liquids, but in a smaller bucket. Some times, when I believe I have a clean keg, I just fill it with hot water, symbolically wave the brush to the general direction of the keg, and give it 5 minutes of Iodophor. If I am really sure the small bits are clean, I just pump some of that Iodophor out with CO2, but usually I take them all apart. -H -- Heikki Levanto heikki at indexdata dot dk "In Murphy We Turst"
