Yes, it is easy to relax your hygiene when things go well. I know, I have had a period when I dumped something like 10 batches in a row. Almost stopped brewing altogether. Now I think I have things under control again, but I keep my eyes open for any new way the little buggers could sneak into my brew. Often it helps to have a fresh pair of eyes looking over your shoulder - besides, it is fun to sit and drink a beer with a friend while waiting for the water to warm up... Good luck with it! -H P.S. I just found another possible way how I may have infected my beers: I cool the pot in a bath of cold water, and when I take it out, some of that bath water drips from teh outside of the pot, possibly into the fermenter. I try to keep teh cooling bucket clean, but haven't sanitized it properly, as it will never get in touch with the beer - I thought... -- Heikki Levanto "In Murphy We Turst" heikki (at) lsd (dot) dk _______________________________________________ Brygforum mailing list [email protected] http://www.haandbryg.dk/mailman/listinfo/brygforum To get off the list, send a blank mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
