No it is because of the electrically operated bridges that BW work on this stretch I have been in in a convoy of over twenty boats that made it to the docks and then onward to Eastham for the 1998 national in Salford Quays.CKP

I know BW have escorted boats in the past (allegedly) because of problems with the local kids but is it so bad that unescorted passage is just not an option?
