I cannot see the post to which you are replying, John, so I don't know who wrote it or what the context was. There is and will be no problem with the emergency services accessing Lock 87. It is Lock 86 that will have that problem. The problem with Lock 87 will be how crew members disembark at the lock mouth from a boat with no easy access to the bow. BW is creating an extended landing above Lock 86 but appear not to have noticed that this is also required at Lock 87 once lock crews are forced to get back on their boats at Lock 86 instead of walking down. -- Martin Clark Pennine Waterways Website http://www.penninewaterways.co.uk
