Now, let's just look at the credibility of the two witnesses.

One is a qualified engineer, member of engineering professional bodies, spent 
all his working life involved with vehicles, ran his own specialised garage 
business, specialised in emissions and on-board diagnostics, worked for a brief 
period for Lister at Dursley (it was a very brief aberration), worked for 
several major car manufacturers and can rebuild and marinise his own engines.

The other is a camera shop proprietor who has to get said engineer to adjust 
his slow idle correctly after said camera shop man had buggered up the settings.

On balance, who would a sensible court believe when assessing the 
performance/emissions of engines generally and Gardners in particular (Oh, and 
Listers....spit)?
