Yes, the mini is frankly pants - it allows you to set three ons in 24  
hours, which then run the heater for a preset time (default one hour).  
You have to reset it each day.

The Hurricane, OTOH, has both a room stat and a cylinder stat; the  
room stat can be replaced with a Danfoss programmable beast to give  
seven day programmability. The heater doesn't suffer from short burn  
syndrome, being designed as a marine CH plant from the outset.

At least, that's what they tell me - ask me again next winter ;-}}.

  Obvious downsides so far: twice the price, three times the size, and  
the installation manual drives your boat fitter crazy (hee, hee).
