I have a question about this EZ Lift.  My boat has a 21 year old Universal desiel inboard (M-18).  If that engine goes, and I decided to install an outboard engine (I sure it would be considerably cheaper than replacing an inboard diesel) with one of these EZ-lifts, would I first have to have the inboard desiel removed to save weight.  Would the weight of an engine hanging off the back change the way the boat sits and sails on her lines?
