Still not convinced. My boat lived most of it's life at Young's Boatyard. Phil Young is famous for blocking boats correctly. Every C27 in the yard is blocked properly (leading edge built-up blocked). Some have the smile, some don't.
My smile showed up after a season of racing. I've even seen the smile aft of mid keel, with the leading edge in tact. In fact, I can probably get a shot of it if the boat is still there. I saw the same thing on my E 32-2 after a season. The boat was still in the slings....keel flex.
