Hi Bill, The battery terminals are spot welded to the battery and soldered to the board. You will need "solder wick" or a "solder sucker" (both are available from Radio Shack or most other electronic component stores) to remove the solder from the terminals and the lands (foil holes on the board). Just pulling on the terminals while you heat the joint may damage the board and/or components on the board. Removing the solder also makes for easier, cleaner installation.
Once the battery is removed, take it to Batteries +, they probably have the battery with the correct lead configuration in stock and it is probably less than ten USD.
