Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)
------------

     2/27: BALD EAGLES and ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS were seen flying over the main 
pool.


Oswego County
------------

     2/21: A WILSON’S SNIPE was joined by 2 KILLDEER at  a residence in 
Brewerton. Both species are still being observed as of 2/27.
     2/23: TUNDRA SWANS, GADWALL, and , RUDDY DUCK were seen on Oneida Lake at 
Brewerton.
     2/24: An adult RED-HEADED WOODPECKER, perhaps the same bird seen on 1/1, 
was seen at the Bible Camp on Lake View Road on Lake Ontario.


Cortland County
------------

     2/23: A flock of 60+ COMMOM REDPOLLS with one each HOARY REDPOLL and 
GREATER REDPOLL continues at a feeder in the Town of Scott.


Onondaga County
------------

     2/20: 2 MERLINS were seen in Oakwood Cemetary in Syracuse.
     2/23: An adult ICELAND GULL was seen flying over the ESF campus of 
Syracuse 
University. 13 species of waterfowl were seen at the mouth of Nine Mile Creek 
on 
Onondaga Lake. TUNDRA SWAN, GADWALL,  AMERICAN WIGEON, PINTAIL, CANVASBACK, 
REDHEAD, RING-NECKED DUCK, LESSER SCAUP, BUFFLEHEAD, and COOT were all seen.
     2/24: A SCREECH OWL is vocalizing at a resicence in Pompey.
     2/26: A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen at Green Lakes State Park.
     2/27: COMMON GRACKLE was seen in LaFayette and Liverpool. YELLOW-RUMP 
WARBLER continues in Liverpool and at Conners Road in the Town of Van Buren.


Cayuga County
------------

     2/27: An early BLUE-WINGED TEAL was seen at Fair Haven State Park.


Jefferson County
------------

     2/27: Good news! The Point Peninsula TOWNSEND’S SOLITAIRE has bee 
relocated 
at it’s usual spot on State Park Road just off County Rt. 57.
