Hi Don - I don¹t know how much my advice can help as I am still 6 weeks
away from being ready to attempt the Lab. The troubleshooting is the
scary part for me also. Maybe your approach to how you are solving the
tickets needs to be looked at. Are you breaking any rules by removing
configuration that maybe should not be removed in order to solve the
ticket? I like to look at the troubleshooting section as if you are a
senior engineer who is looking at work done by a junior who did not
understand the technology correctly. Instead of undoing the Juniors work
we are to implement the solution correctly as the question requires,
rather than trying to get the end result any way we can. I hope I am
coming across ok.
I also would probably recommend the one week lab experience. That is
heavy in troubleshooting and you will get lots of great advice on how to
approach it. It sounds like you know your stuff, but a change of approach
to how you solve the tickets may be the problem. You could spend the
whole week in the owle doing new troubleshooting scenarios if that is your
weakness I would think.
When I did the security Lab 18 months ago, the OWLE was the difference for
me passing. I completed all the workbooks, but the course gave me the
approach and mental preparation I needed.
