Hi Nick,

I know where you're coming from - I had to line up time off work in advance
(I wanted the last week off prior to the lab to focus on the CCIE rather
than my customers) so I had to negotiate a time for the lab with my manager
when I wasn't quite sure I was ready but with enough time to get there if I
didn't slack off but to line up the lab date, flights and hotel.

Once I had booked, to help keep the pressure up I used a timer program that
would count down to exam day and have it always on top but semi-transparent
in the corner of my screen, so if I was doing a prac lab or just cruising
the web I was always aware just how little time I had left which helped
keep the focus..

On Sep 27, I hope that beer tastes good..

Cheers,
Adam
