My $0.02 is I have run into these issues also. So in my virtual and physical
labs I spend alot of time cleaning up configs so I can make the labs work.
It helps me a little to troubleshoout out something like a interface proxy-arp
is configures on the interface that is supposed to be the fault. So the lab has
been corrected when I unzipped the config files.
But for the most part it is frustrating because I am not sure if I am screwed
up or the cofngis and my time estimates on how long I am taking are all out of
whack.

IMHO it comes down to where you or I go tthe materials... If it is opensource
then I get what I get.... If it is paid for then I am a little more mad and
need to address it with whomever I paid for the materials.
What I am trying is to do the opensource as much as I cna and then go rent some
rack time from INE or IPexpert on a mock lab eval, if the configs are messed up
then I have recourse... other than that I feel ur pain sir. Expecting to drip
$5000 for a certification is alot to justify to my family/budget... :)

Good Luck on Friday....
