Depends on your situation in life and on your own disposition.

I know 21 year olds that have become nearly suicidal after being laid off
from dot coms.  And I've known 50 year olds that have delt with being laid
off or forced to retire "early" from IBM with nothing but optimism.

I'm single without kids, and don't have a single monthly credit payment to
make.  I'd probably jump at the opportunity.  On the other hand, if I was
married, with kids, a mortgage, and payments to make on a minivan, I'd think
long and hard about it.
