I'm not moving the goalposts ... I'm saying that because they need money (no
matter how altruistic their original intention) they have an inherent
conflict of interest when it comes to presenting the truth. Presenting the
truth is not in their best interest, if it conflicts with their goals,
whether their best interest is simply to keep the organization alive to
fight other worthwhile fights or to buy the director a new BMW.

It is simply intellectually dishonest to say "oil companies are greedy and
environmental groups are not." They are both soiled by the same color --
green.

I do not dispute that environmental organisations raise money or that they
need money to operate, but you are moving the goalposts - you claimed that
money was a driving force behind them, it isn't, it's simply necessary for
their functioning.
