We have a coworker who got a stomach band and is in the process of
losing weight. She's also being a guinea pig for a new bariatric
clinic. It's kind of cool, as she's getting free "body pod"
measurements and such. Apparently this contraption is the most
accurate way to determine fat and muscle percentages.

You may want to consider asking for a body fat analysis to see where
you really stand, as you're right, BMI doesn't necessarily mean much.

Of course, I have a good BMI and eat no red meat and exercise a lot
and I still have high cholesterol. Gotta love genetics.
