Given a standard transmission and about 150 pounds of sand bags in the
back of the car, you're more stable and have great traction.

Hey I learned to drive in Western Canada and the interior of BC. There
is very few places elsewhere in the world that gets that kind of snow
- when I was living in the interior over a 2 week period we got almost
20 feet of snow. We'd get a couple of feet overnight, then all but a
few inches would melt. Then that night it would snow a couple of feet
again. As long as you didn't get hung up on the snow and you had snow
tires etc., a regular car works great under those conditions.
