Let me just say that while I no longer shop at Costco (no reason to buy a metric ton of toilet paper at a clip), I never once was greeted in any capacity by an unhappy looking or acting employee.
The people knew where stuff was, and if they didn't they'd find out. Not true with Sam's club, which is what I had experience with in the midwest before moving to Washington.
