What "continue to spiral"? We are in the middle of a world war. We know that N. Korea, Iran, Pakistan and other nations seeking nukes have teamed up before. We also know that those same nations are not responsible enough to have those weapons.
If we are going to set global values and if they are going to be things like democracy and freedom of religion, than something like HALF of the world isn't going to be allowed in such and organization, and it would polarize nations against each other, not stopping wars, but leading to them. -- Timothy Heald Analyst, Architect, Developer [EMAIL PROTECTED] W: 202-228-8372 C: 703-300-3911 -----Original Message----- From: Gruss Gott [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, April 21, 2006 9:27 AM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: Bush reconfirms nuking Iran, sorry :) > tBone wrote: > The UN should be gutted. I think the only way to prevent war is to have a 3rd party that has the moral high ground and is a place to set global values. Which are hopefully Democracy, freedom of Religion, etc. When you don't have this you end up with dictatorships and nobody responsible for getting rid of them. It's like the vacant house in the neighborhood that's nobody's responsibility for - it drags down the whole neighborhood. It's only when all the homes team up that you get rid of it. That having been said, the current UN may not (and probably is not) this body. But it could be and that should be our goal. Without it, the world will continue to spiral into war. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:204996 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
