CA groceries sell hard liquor too.
But no alcohol sales between 2am and 6am.

No problem here.

In New Orleans, the groceries sell beer, wine AND HARD liquor.  Pretty good
prices too.  No go cups in the groceries though.

One local chain of grocers, Schwegmann's, even had bar rooms in the stores.
They were next to the sporting goods departments.  Alas, that chain went
away a few years ago.  Paw Paw used to go get some french bread and then
proceed to get smashed.  He needed a basket to support him when he walked
home.  ;)
