The doctor's claims are disputed also. Is he telling the truth? Maybe, maybe not. The _fact_ that his name does not appear on the record is, oddly, not disputed, but _he_ says it was common for the doctor's name not to appear in reports of this type... given the military's tradition of writing everything down, I find it difficult to believe that the doctor's claim is indeed true. To put it another way, all we have is _his_ say so about being involved and the actual paper documentation says something else.
