It has been shown that many intelligence tests have cultural bias. I am not
sure if this was one of the examples but for instance: a lot of times
fractions are taught in the US with pizza slices. If you administer a test
with pizza questions to children who have just immigrated from Mexico they
may not have seen a pizza before and could bog down on that issue.
