I don't know. Internal theft is a HUGE problem for retailers, doubly so for
electronics retailers like BestBuy. They keep all the really expensive
stuff, like laptops, memory, and CPUs, locked in storage- to protect it from
employees as much as from customers. Hard disks are expensive enough for
someone to want to steal, but too bulky for retailers to take extra measures
to protect.
