Yes, actually I did notice the file copying, because I have a Dual
Boot configuration setup. Also, I installed Vista onto a new hard
disk, and I was moving data from my Raid 0 drives to the new hard
drive, as well as to an external backup drive.

So it's actually one of the very first things I noticed about Vista.

Also, I started installing games in Vista, and I also noticed how much
longer these games took to install under the OS. So yup, that was one
of my major annoyances.

My RAID drives run at over 100MB/s, I get that during File Copy
operations in XP, I didn't see why I should get less than that in
Vista.

One of the primary reasons for going with 10,000 RPM Raptor drives is
to have that blistering fast performance during file operations.

It seems stable thus far, but...I still mope that I had to give up
performance to appease the RIAA and the MPAA's silly DRM requirements.
