*shifts uncomfortably* *eyes glaze over the end of email* .... .... Thanks for the Tom's hardware link. :-)
This is a particularly interesting quote from the article: "The upshot is that it doesn't make sense to install a 64 bit version of Vista in order to better utilize 4 GB of memory simply because the 32 bit version would only recognize 3.5 GB. The problem is that while it is true that you would "gain" the missing memory, you would also immediately lose it to the system due to the 64 bit version's larger memory footprint. Thus, using a 64 bit version really only makes sense with larger memory sizes." I don't intend to move to 8GB right now, so I'll be sticking with 32Bit Vista for now :) On 20/03/2008, Jim Davis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > >Statement of 86% improvement > > > >http://keznews.com/4153_Vista_SP1_up_to_86__faster ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;160198600;22374440;w Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:257037 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
