Well, I guess I don't think this is an issue that can be dealt with in isolation. I think you've got a couple of core moving parts: (1.) Robin Hood factor. Gotta keep these pirates from rising to folk hero status which means we can't be seen as the meanies which means some marketing. Because you KNOW that the story of how and why we killed those 3 pirates is not being told as it really happened. (2.) Extremism. Somalia is a hotbed of extremism and they'll use this or any other issue to fire people up and recruit them. Right now it seems unrelated, tomorrow it's not. (3.) American image. Not so good there now. Obama can help repair that with some marketing. (4.) Respective Corners. We're boxed in somewhat here, but so are they. If the pirates start killing hostages, it won't go well for them. (5.) Piracy. You can prevent this from happening in the first place with a few destroyers and/or some 3rd party security firms which is exactly what should've been done. Because ... ------- Somali insurgents fired mortars toward U.S. Congressman Donald Payne's plane during a visit to the Somali capital in Mogadishu. The New Jersey Democrat was not injured, his spokeswoman Kerry McKenney told FOX News. Al Shabab, Somalia's militant Islamist rebel group, claimed responsibility for the mortars fired at Payne, Reuters reported. "We fired on the airport to target the so-called democratic congressman sent by (U.S. President Barack) Obama," Sheikh Hussein Ali, an al Shabaab spokesman, told Reuters. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,514935,00.html ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:294901 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
