Actually, if you scroll back up to the original message, you will see that
the point is the Catholic Church is fighting the removal of the statute of
limitations for sexual abuse charges.

Who the victims or abusers are is irrelevant to the charges. The proposal
will not remove the statute of limitations for these charges only if the
abuser was a priest/clergyperson.

To defend an institution that is actively trying to defend any and all sex
abusers is reprehensible.
