The bulk of the healthcare bill doesn't go into effect for 3 more years...so no one expected an immediate effect with that.
Cash for Clunkers did help as GM is getting the bailout paid off. Fiscally, his policies haven't taken full effect yet. -----Original Message----- From: C. He has dug a deeper hole for himself, not filled it in. The stimulus was supposed to keep unemployment under 8% - it didn't. Cash for clunkers was supposed to revitalize the auto industry - it didn't. The health care bill was supposed to make medical insurance affordable for all - it hasn't. Fiscally his policies have proven to be a bust.
