I'm curious who you really like the SEC. Obviously Alabama is great.
Love watching them and they are just solid. Auburn is looking pretty
decent and I like the way that Arkansas has been playing. LSU? Meh. I
wasn't sold on them before that game against Tennessee and wow, that
will take awhile to live down. Oregon beat Tennessee's ass in Rockytop
and LSU needed a free second chance fieldgoal?

And the SEC East...uh, yeah. Florida, not so hot. S. Carolina I'm not
sure about yet, haven't watched them on the field. Vandy, Tennessee,
Kentucky, Georgia? The SEC East is pretty horrid this year and hasn't
been really solid more than 1 or 2 down in quite awhile. Georgia just
canceled their home and home with the Ducks after complaining that
traveling to the West Coast was "too hard". Florida never even plays
a non-conference game outside their home state.

The SEC has a couple of the best teams in the country year in and year
out. But top to bottom? Not a terribly good conference these days.
They get by on reputation, good tv contracts and the (legitimately)
really good couple teams at the top.

One of the things that I really like about the Pac 10 is that they
play a full round robin every year and so every team gets a shot at
everyone else. That ends up with a lot of carnage but makes for some
great football. I'm going to be sad when that goes away come expansion
to 12 teams and the introduction of divisions.
