Oh, I agree.  It shouldn't have.  We followed the steps over and over.
 Finally threatened legal action.

I am sure that the problem was with BOA.  I believe the credit companies
would remove the item, but it would somehow come back up again at BOA on
their next mass export of data or something.

It was frustrating, but seems to be taken care of now.

Never could figure out how in the hell BOA let a charge be applied to a
credit card that was closed for over two years and they had no answers.
 Originally, they asked us if we were sure we weren't in Vermont that day.
 Since our daughter was in the hospital that day, I was pretty sure we
weren't.
