That's what they fear. Really big deal for unions, which have lost collective bargaining in some states. In actuality, though, a balanced budget doesn't mean that they have to be cut off. The government could cut off the military instead. I used to loathe entitlements. I am to the point that I don't give a damn any more. Just give me the amendment with a good portion dedicated to debt payment and then spend the money on whatever you want to spend it on. You want to give the money to ACORN and let the highways go to pot, more power to you. If you would rather build the infrastructure and not support an organization designed to rig elections, even better.
