I've been using T-mobile prepaid for almost 10 years with no problems.
I am on my third phone.  I refill the minutes whenever they run low,
averages to about 25 bucks a month.  My ex was head of support for
Nextel before Sprint acquired them.  Based on my observations of how
support was handled, I will never sign a cell phone contract.
