Usually you aren't part of them, I'll add, so maybe you got the brunt of my rant simply because you sent *yours* as a reply to my comment. But while we are here, I'd like to mention a couple of possibilities, directed not so much at you or at any person on this list in particular, more as a kind of shaking my fist at the sky kind of thing....
Possibly, just possibly, people in countries other than the US are getting their information from sources with different ownership than you do. Doesn't mean they are right, also doesn't mean they don't know or understand things that you don't. Even Russia Today, HuffPo and Fox News occasionally have a point. Possibly, just possibly, it might be time to stop being cynical and amused and fucking give a damn. Abortion is a case in point of a right where people a couple of years ago were goin, naw.. not going anywhere. To say that is it is fearmongering, political partisanship. Yet here we are.
