The fact that she was able to be happy even locked up for close to three 
years is a testament to her beautiful spirit. And I don't know if it was 
possible to be happy in the concentration camps -- there really is nothing 
you can compare them to.

Rain is what you make of it. Michael and I had our first date in the rain 
(in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens). We shared an umbrella and an ice 
cream. I went through his wallet (don't ask -- I do crazy things when I'm 
nervous.)
