One problem I do have with the web and the internet is that it does atomize
relationships. You now can read news that strictly pertains to what you
want, and ignore other things involving business, politics, the environment
etc.

There is also the downside in letting people connect with others. For
instance both terrorist groups like Al-Queda and the neo-nazi movements are
now using the internet to connect with others of like minds. Not exactly
something good IMNSHO.
