I am not comparing Hitler to Hussein, rather the mentality of Europeans when
faced with a dictator.  Appeasement doesn't work.  Plain and simple.
Obviously Europeans learned nothing from their mistake of appeasement in
WWII.  Being a peacenik is fine.  But it doesn't work when faced with
someone who has no intention of making peace at all.  How else would the
situation in Afghanastan been resolved?
