Isn't that what we ask them to do everytime we strap them to a rocket and
point them at the sky?

Not saying it's a bad thing, we ask the same of police, fire, search &
rescue, EMTs, soldiers, sailors and anybody else in a "volunteer" service.
That they have volunteered, doesn't mean we aren't asking them to risk life
and limb.
