Only between the router and that one device though, correct?  I will have a couple other machines on the network I would want to keep secure.

I'd recommend reading some reviews before spending the money. I haven't used
them, so I don't know how good they really are. The HP one caught my
attention because I saw it at a really good price online at one time. I
can't recall where it was though, but it might be worth comparing prices.

"g" is basically just faster than "b". And a "b" device can talk to a "g"
network. There is a new WPA key format now that is also supposed to be more
secure, but I haven't read much about it. I do know though that the security
drops to the lowest common level when disparate devices talk to each other.
