Holy crap that's a lot of free music.
Sweet.

Bret -

Just pulling your leg, mate. No degenerate tests here.

The answer key follows, if it matters to anyone.

1) Anarchy Burger, Hold the Government - by The Vandals, who are still
around and, after 18+ years of making music, have finally figured out
how to mix an album. Free mp3s at www.vandals.com.

2) GG Allen and the Texas Nazis. They released a single, pure white
album and it was far more heretical than the rest of his work. After GG
died, the rest of the band moved to North Carolina to become Antiseen
(or Antischism - it's hard to keep those two separate).

3) Motorhead is the Loudest Thing Ever, so to speak, and has been
looking for official recognition of this fact from Guiness for several
years. The standard amplification set up is some ridiculously high
number which actually surpasses a jet turbine. Supposedly, were someone
to stand right in front of their amps, that person's heart would stop
being able to beat once the band started to play (no joke).

4) Discharge - from the song Hell on Earth (I believe)

5) Yep.

6) The New Bomb Turks are named after Newbaum Turk, a character from the
movie Porky's.

7) Trick question. Darby Crash died from a combination of all of these
factors. He was high and drunk after a run in with the law the day he
died, and suffered from acute hepatitis. Were it not for the massive
heroin overdose, liver failure would have gotten to him soon after.

8) Yep.

9) This is a trick question. Fugazi is not punk as their lyrics are
preposterously preachy.

10) Yep. And Jeff Ott stories do count for extra credit.

Man, you guys are tough! But I guess I will bite, seeing as how punk
rock and all associate sub-genres are such marketable commodities these
days, you have to find a way to sort out the posers from the die-hards.
And I will not look up any answers I don't know. See below.

Can't remember for sure, but I think it's A, Scumbags. I was never a big

GG Allin fan. My fallback on this one is Murderers.

Um, A

Dunno. :-(

D) and I believe it's Dez with a 'z'.

Dunno, never listened to them much.

I believe it was C, but at the risk of losing punk points here, I never
listened to The Germs much either.

A, Stiff Little Fingers, one of my favorites.

Unfortunately, D, Fifteen. Do I get more punk points for having heard
Jeff Ott relate tales of smoking crack with a car antennae first hand?
