Well the CPU is in tight...there is a HUGE rentention clip spring
mechanism pressing the fan assembly etc. to the CPU.
So...if its in that tight and not 'seated' right its totally fried. And
I smelt no smoke or anything. THere's only one way these CPUs can go in
I think.


I took the memory out, and it still stops at chipset initialisation, but
gives me three 1 second beeps every two seconds now.
So that's new. But other than that..nothing.


So perhaps its the memory?

Angel,

Try taking everything but the video card out of the system. Hard
drives,memory everything. Then boot up and see what the POST card that's
on the back tells you. If it gets past the Chipset initialization start
putting other components back in. Also make sure the cpu is seated
correctly.
