I have an app where a user uses a form to upload a file. I use cffile and only certain mime types are allowed. Among them application/msword for MS Word files. Occasionally when someone tries to upload a Word file they get this error:
"The MIME type of the uploaded file (application/octet-stream) was not accepted by the server." Is application/octet-stream an alternate mime type for Word docs? If not, has anyone seen this or know what causes it? I've seen users try to upload and fail, but a repeat effort (sometimes after several tries) succeeds.
