NDA was not mentioned during the conference as far as I know EXCEPT
during the blackstone specific sessions.. I don't think the keynote
sessions were under NDA.

That being said, Coldfusion already provides flash remoting built in. I
think you're misunderstanding something.

Blackstone will allow you to create rich flash-based web forms without
having to know flash. However, it's just a replacement for HTML forms..
there's no remoting involved - at least not in the normal sense. You
can populate a select list from a database using coldfusion just like
you would in an HTML form.

If I say anything else, I might start referring to stuff that I learned
in the NDA sessions, so I'll stop there =)

As for not having compelling reasons to upgrade from 4.5 - you really
are missing out. There were a lot of compelling reasons to go to CF 5.0
- UDF's were a particularly nice feature. There were *tons* of
compelling reasons to go to CFMX - web services, flash remoting, CFCs,
use of java objects natively, etc..

I mean sure, if you're not doing any coldfusion development and you are
simply maintaining an existing application with no changes, then staying
with CF 4.5 would be fine I guess, but if you're doing any development
at all - you are seriously missing out.
