The Windows zip utility doesn't support the path depth that the Windows filesystem does. I don't know who to blame for that other than whoever wrote the Windows zip utility. Any third-party zip utility works properly. The Windows zip utility also appears to be exponentially slower than Winzip, unzipping any large collection of files. Who should I blame?
