If accessibility is at all an issue for you, only two libraries implement the ARIA spec right now that I am aware of:
Dojo and Google-axsjax are the only ones that I have been able to find. There used to be a plugin for Jquery (JARIA) and while I understand that the plugin will be incorporated into JQUERY at some point, it isn't yet (so far as I can determine).
