I agree with Cameron excpet for 1 item he didn't mention (and yes I know
he's not bashing anyone).

The "free stuff" (bad description but we all know what it means) is gone in
the new MM partnership agreement although the new licensing agreement makes
it legal to use the software for development purposes. So there is still a
bonus...if MM ever does a license audit of your company you won't get sued
;-) It's also useful to appear as a professional when you tell clients you
are a "MM partner for blah blah". There is definately a certain level of
credibilty and professionalism added when you can do this (personally I
think the partnership program is too easy to get into and more of a cash
grab...but I digress...).

The one issue I have is the new price...it's now $795 USD a year up from the
old $500 USD (or around there).

Lets do the math....
MM partnership = higher price.....less software...better license
Allaire partnership = lower price....WAY more software...restricted license

I'd be a lot happier if the price had stayed the same...that way we get less
software but it can legally be used for development.

Cameron nailed it though...I think a lot of complaints are because people
can't get a "free" copy of Studio etc. that they weren't supposed to be
using for development in the first place.

Just buy Studio. One contract should more than pay for it.

My 2 cents...flame away ;-)
