yes it is but 4l80e has all kinds of weird electronics you have to buy a special harness to convert it and also the convertor has some sort of lockup wiring (not sure what). Big money part of doing the 4l80e was having transmission guy rebuilt it. Also the core alone was 800-1000. Also tail shaft has to be changed so Speedo will hook up as 4l80e has electronic Speedo.
